Advocating for Connecticut residents and helping them plan for the future is what we do. And when we feel it’s necessary to bump up our resources to accommodate our residents in the best possible way, we take the steps to do so.
For the New Year, we are pleased to announce lots of exciting news:
As of January 1st, we have a new principal, a new name, a new partner and four new attorneys. And we have opened an office in Madison, a second office in Berlin and expanded our Simsbury office.
Great changes! And they will enable us to continue serving you and the community in the way we are known for.
BIG News: Carmine Perri is named principal which results in name change
Trial attorney Carmine Perri has been appointed principal. In recognition of Carmine’s significant contribution to the firm, effective January 1st, the firm’s new name is Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri.
Carmine, who joined the firm in 2012 to build and lead the firm’s litigation department, represents clients in will contests, contested probate matters, nursing facility collection actions, conservatorships, and financial and elder abuse. He argues before the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate courts, and throughout Connecticut at the trial and probate court levels.
His new role as principal and his exemplary litigation work further strengthens our ability to offer you the protection and support of an in-house litigation department, something few other Connecticut estate planning and elder law firms can provide.
We are proud to recognize Carmine for his outstanding results in the courtroom and for his contributions to the firm. In addition to his tenacity and dedication, he is also a highly respected and sought-after trial attorney – we are delighted to add his name to the door.
Lara Schneider-Bomzer promoted to partner
We are pleased to tell you that Lara Schneider-Bomzer, who leads the firm’s public benefits department, has been promoted to Partner. Lara, an outstanding attorney, has been an associate with the firm for 4 years representing clients who are in need of estate planning, asset protection and Medicaid planning.
Join us in welcoming our new attorneys!
Jennifer Reale joined the firm’s litigation department as an associate.
Associate Jeffrey Rivard has been added to the estate planning team. And Colleen Masse, formerly of PLAN of CT, joined us as an associate in our special needs and disability planning department.

Additional office space
And in addition to adding more people, we’ve increased our space.
- To meet and serve the demand we’ve noticed on Connecticut’s shoreline, we recently opened a Madison office at 149 Durham Road.
- We also expanded our office space at 92 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury to accommodate the firm’s growing litigation practice.
- We opened a second office in Berlin at 124 White Oak Drive.
This was a busy year for us, indicating that there is increasing demand for all the services we provide. It’s clear that Connecticut’s aging population is cognizant of the importance of planning for their future and that individuals with special needs are not always aware of the services and supports available. And it’s sad, but not surprising, that there seems to be more disputes and family disagreements. By strengthening our leadership and adding staff and offices, we are making sure we have all the resources needed to help our residents.
We look forward to giving you a hand in the New Year. And may it be a healthy and joyful one for you and your family.
